Majik, as far as I know there are no real performance gains from top mount. It makes it a lot easier to get to the turbo, downpipe, and everything to work on and I think it looks a lot nicer. But at times it adds a lot of piping also depending on the design. They are generally pretty pricey also.

Yup, my GK Engine bay.

Matt (mahonroy) can do both internal and external wastegate as well as any turbo flange you want. He would need your turbo to fabricate the downpipe though.

Clocked right this puts the turbo in a great position to run a front mount intercooler that flows charge air from top to bottom via wide inlets meaning the same amount of air gets same amount of cooling airflow but travels less through restrictive intercooler, resulting in reducing pressure loss while maintaining intercooler efficiency. I forsee some potentially crazy builds with a manifold like this..

I cadded it up myself and have them CNC machined for me. I have them on my website too.

It looks pretty good, but it does look to have some issues.

I would have run the pipes down more for longer runners and a much smoother collection into the turbo. Right now it looks like they're being shoved together at add and extreme angles into the turbo. Look into buying a pre-fabbed turbo collector. They'll make your job easier.

I would also move the compressor left or right of the #4 cylinder. That turbo is tiny, and a big boy compressor looks like it would hit that #4 runner. Also, check to see if a 4" intake will clear the top radiator hose.
Anyone willing to pay for this probably has a big turbo to go with it.
