New Setup
my only criticsm is that those runners are AWEfully long with that big of a turbo, and that big of an FMIC, its certainly going to be a top end car....
its built for drag racing right? not street duty?
looks like i got another contender for the power wars at least

Yeah it will see very very very minimal street duty, the car is made for big topend and drag only. I couldn't get the cage done in time for NOPI so I will have to put it in after the event. fing02.gif
We'll see what numbers it lays down we have our speculations but until it happens it is just a guess.

If you don't have a cage, how are you gonna run?
I thought 11's requires a rear cage, 10's requires a full cage. Unless you don't plan to hit that.

Your losing spool up time with that manifold, A short runner (even if not equal length some people thing this is heaven although gains are very minimal) is going to blow that manifold away. Yes it dose look good and everyone is all goo goo over it but if your trying to run 11's thats not the way to go. I have built a side mount before and LOST about 700rpm spool up over a short runner. The heat loss is a major contributor to this wrap will help some but not with all. Do some research i asure you its ture.

off topic: got my turbo yesterday, nothing compared to yours, lol. but its my beast. everything looks good and imm get it on ASAP. smile.gif

T4 well Full-Race has put the research into the design of the manifolds and they used a HP Datalogger and pulled the flow from various places on both the Topmount and the Bottommount Manifolds, here is a pic for reference:

They proved with that plus the dyno that the Topmount will out perform the Ramhead or any other short runner manifold, and here is the dyno plot to prove it (topmount is soild line):

So there are the facts, but I knew that the Topmount and longer runners were going to make power as all this has been done by the V8 guys, so all anyone is doing these days is replicating what they did many years ago.
But yes your right a log manifold will spool say 300-400rpm sooner based solely off the thermal engery but it will fall on it's face on topend, and the 300-400rpm difference really won't apply to my setup cause it is a drag car that lauching at no less than 5000rpm and 8psi off the line with the antilag and 2 step, those will elminate any lag that would be cause from down low. fing02.gif

I just know when i drive away from a stop light i dont drop it at 5k and 8psi. laugh.gif If its an all out drag car the less bend before the collector the better but the problem is you have to have long runners to do so. Losing spool up time for a street car. Hell im doing away with my rams horn to go to a very short runner with a low merge angle collector. I hope to gain about 500 rpm spool up. Looks good and hope it runs good.
