Need Turbo Advice!!
my dad just bought the EvoRS rally sport and if you look at it, it in the inside they put the least weight as possible in it ie the trunk is just metal with a piece of felt on the bottom. Well for my car I am thinking about putting a turbo from alpine developments on my car. Does anyonr know of a good shop within like an hour of Jacksonville FL . I took about 25 pounds out of my car just by taking out the trunk flooring.
Or maybe get the speed-factor, if I get the Speed-factor kit what options should I get I don't want to do new pistons, can I get the turbo to go 10psi without the new pistons or feul pump? Thanks

on the speed-factor website it says the extreme kit won't work on my 2001 but to my knowledge there isn't a difference between the 2000 and 2001
I don't want to get the kit without the intercooler
Thanks

Brian i told u to hit me up if u wanna get stuff done with your car, if u still have my last pm's hit me up on my cell ,also that way we can get u deal's if u join up with RDTuners, plus i work at a shop, and i have a tuner here that turbo's everything. and i already have tim's turbo setup so if u wanna know anything u call me up.
Thanks my dad thinks the turbo is ok but my mom thinks it is too much power for me because I am just under 16. She said if you guys thought it was ok it is because she dosen't have much experience with turboing cars and the effect except for my dad's EvoRS and that is a lot different from the Tib, thanks for all of your input
I started my driving career in a vastly overpowered Vdub Superbeetle. That car taught me two important lessons. 1: you can never have enough brake. 2: You can never have enough skill. That car gave me a lot of skill, it was a real handful to put down power and turn at the same time.
What I am saying.. I agree with your mom. The stock Tiburon has in the neighborhood of a 140hp. For the majority of the people out there.. that is MORE than enough. A little over eight seconds to 60mph and around 17 in the quarter... you can get into enough trouble with that level of power without needing to boost. I would wait until spring of 2006 when you have a few more thousand miles under your belt and have a better idea of what your car can do.
BTW.. for what it is worth, save for my van which is a pig due to all the weight. My tiburon is the MOST powerful car I have ever owned. I am 34 and have had a LOT of sports cars in the past, including a couple of Porsches. While I am finally craving a little more power now.. I do not do it without some reservations. I can also tell you that I am going to be VERY nervous the first time I put down the throttle on the boosted engine I am soon to begin building.
