Is it possible to run a narrowband gauge with a wideband o2 sensor??
Reason i ask is cost factor.
UEGO's are so damn expensive.

if cost is a issue get a innovate lc-1 and dont get a guage and run it off a laptop
nah. gauge is essential.
not nearly as easy to keep tabs on A/F ratio on a laptop sitting on a passenger seat or floor while driving, as it is to glance at a gauge immediately infront of you.

With the laptop you can data log which is even more useful. wink.gif
yeah.
and pray the car doesnt blow up between the time i drive it.. and get home to upload the datalog and analyze WHY my car blew up when i could've let off the gas if the gauge was starting to lean out. LOL

Then spend the money to get a wideband and wideband gauge. No other option will give you reliable instant results to a gauge in your field of view.

if its so crucial to not blowing up the motor....doesnt that seem like a good idea to purchase a quality one?

I built a very accurate wideband display with a cheap $5 ebay 0-2 VDC four digit display. If you have a programmable wideband, such as the LC1, you can program one of the outputs to read 1 volt = AFR 10-1 and 2 volts AFR 20-1. Then move the decimal on the display to show up between the second and third digit. Works like a charm and reads dead on when compared to the LC1 and tuning software.
