im thinking your SAFC must not have been tuned right. people have been successful with the SAFCII, MSD setups for a long time still using MAF.

i have the emanage/ dual fuel rail setup on my car.

but the turbo setup will still be cheaper, and if you like power, a full blown N/A setup wont please you. a nice 8psi turbo setup probably will. i know boost is addicting but its controlable.. i am still running 8psi and content with it. i would like more, but i realize the effects itll have on other things, and i will need to buy more crap, so yah..

and for the record, you can get a badass IC piping, with IC setup for 950$ shipped including powdercoated IC piping, BOV flange, HUGE FMIC, couplers, clamps.

and you can also get a badass stainless turbo manifold, and stainless downpipe for 950$ shipped.

you can find a good turbo for 500$, then fuel management, injectors, BOV, etc, youll be a little over 3k$ with a badass setup.

o, and with the trans thing, how many miles? could just be the notorious 2nd gear grind.. i had that and my trans was still good.. i would look at getting a clutch/flywheel combo, and maybe a beta II trans before any engine modding though.

For now I would just look at getting the tranny straightened out. Do a new clutch and flywheel and get those synchros looked at. From there just upgrade little things at a time when you get soem money. then make the decision to go NA or turbo. i think you will be a lot happier with the power from the turbo because you will end up having more power for less money than an all out NA build

heh socks, I love you lol. But where do I get this stuff at, I have never seen anyone selling a downpipe for us for, I figured Id custom weld the IC piping myself, but how do i make the brackets to hold it up?

Beta II tranny stronger? My trans only has 60k miles on it, and i have never missed a shift, dunno about the owner before me, but i c an tell you im hard on my tib. I power 1st to second to third like its the only way a tib can be driven.

Heres the problem guys, The tib is the only car I got, its my daily driver and its my main sorce or transportation. I have time once school is done thsi yearm like months of time, but my main concern was just to start collecting and moding things that I could keep using while I collect the parts.

seoulfulracing sells the DP and manifold combo for us..

never ever say you love me again..

if you can weld, the making brackets part will come as common sense when you tackle the project.

i duno if the tranny is stronger but it would be newer.. stop beating on your trans. throw some redline fluid in there, buy some shifter bushings and tell me if the syncros still grind.
