Default My car is driving me nuts, turbo questions, etc

I know its probably gonna be something simple but for some reason I cant seem to figure it out and its gonna keep me up until I do.

The issue:

last year before blowin up the trans i took the car for a spin and felt like i was building boost (didnt have a boost gauge to tell) and the turbo had the very distinct whistle to it

this was with the 440cc injectors and radu's map

since then ive replaced the transmission, rebuilt the turbo, and installed 750cc injectors (low imp, but i have a honda injector box)

car is VERY sluggish, boost gauge will read a constant -15 vacuum and will shoot up to 0 when i step on the gas but will NOT build boost

i went into the fuel map and changed the injector size, new being 750 and old being 440 and my AFR is showing 14.5-15.5 at idle and will drop to 13ish when i get on it, and yet im STILL sluggish

i know 13ish is a tad high, but without it gettin boost im not worried about it

any advice? im probably overlooking something cuz im gettin down to the wire with needing this car....only got like 3 weeks before school starts up and am getting nervous

stupid thing actually gots me wide awake at 2am ugh maybe i should just part it out and move on

Is your waste gate internal or external? Have you checked to see if its stuck open?

external

took it apart and the diaphram got pinched, probably when i swapped springs

didnt see any tears or anything, but the valve itself opened and closed pretty easily, didnt seem to stick

im gonna reload radu's map and see what happens and im gonna go pick up some parts to do a boost leak checker also

check your turbo for shaft play, if there is any at all or the wheels have touched the housings you will not be able to build boost and will need a rebuild.

Good luck ive been there too.

you noob.

Boost leak test.

Check turbo.

Check ignition timing

Does the log show 100% load? 100% throttle?

Did you change valve timing?

fuel pressure? New 750's or used? Check their spray

Wtf does your ems do? You can build boost with stock ecu so

My guess: your shotty turbo rebuild

fuel pressure is set to ~45psi

didnt change valve timing

the rest i already said i was gonna check

what does the FIC do? jack sh*t with a noob like myself behind the screen

and yes

shotty turbo setup is shotty

ill check out the sh*t i said i was gonna check out and go for a quick drive with the logger on and ill post it here

i did reroute my throttle cable, it wasnt opening the throttle body all the way, ill probably have to figure out a different way to route it though and adjust the FIC accordingly

gotta pick up a schrader and a cap tomorrow and ill check for leaks and report back

throw the 440's back in , and try the same setup you used in your first post before the tranny blew up, ..If no boost, its the turbo...
