Thanks everyone. They dont make any 12:1 or something like that in between the super hi comp pistons and stock right? I would be nice to go with a higher comp but I can still get alot more than me i/h/e on a auto than a manual full NA except for the pistons. For the supercharger people seem always to be unhappy with it only getting 199 whp with alot invested. How high of octane would be needed to run 13:1 because I could always keep some toulene? of some other high octane around to boost the octane, but I would rather not have the cost last time race gas was 5.50 for 101 octane

98 octane is more expensive than standard fuel.
100 octane is more expensive again and ECU would need to re-programmed to run on this fuel.
Octane booster is a waste of time, I threw it in the bin after 4 months
Redzman from kspec sell all sorts of competition pistons.

What do you mean lag?

the garrett BB turbo boost from 3000rpm upwards.
its almost immediate if;
hold the clutch and rev the engine to high rpm.
Then let the clutch go and accelerate really hard.

NA car drive between 2000 - 3000rpm and idle at 1000rpm on the streets

Turbo Lag is when boost kicks in at 4500rpm - 5000rpm.
then you can't test it on the street, its only good for the track.

ported cylinder head won't give an increase in power under 3000rpm.
it did give an extra top end power after 5000rpm.

Ok what I meant to boost the octane was putting a gallon of 115 octane in or something not the little cans. For the lag on the tracks I race some parts you arent even full throtle for a second before you break, so the evo doesnt even really get any boost (have to really try to keep it boosted through the turn by giving gas before the apex sometimes) I want to also keep my clutch in the best shape possible not slipping it through the track.
