And if you can't fill up your tank at a station have a friend fill up Their car and just siphon it into yours.. I still think the problem is within your standalone ECU. I'm really surprised that in your country they are so strict about who can fill up with petrol and yet they allow you to run a standalone ECU? lol

SHES FIXED!

Great news guys, it appears shes up and running, nicely done at 8psi, no boost lag, no stuttering, hesitation or anything (fingers crossed, my betting is sods law dictates the next time I start her up it’ll explode in my face or something)

But in the end I had a friend come over who is good with FI, he took one look and said “oh my… god….” And together we noticed about 5,654,967 air leaks.

I cant believe I didn’t spot them before, even little nicks in the boost boost controller solenoid thingy, back to where the air temp sensor was housed, quite a few really.

So the whole lot came off, and replaced with proper clips, securely fastened and dud parts thrown in the bin and replaced with new

I feel a bit stupid for missing something so obvious, but ive learnt a whole great deal so far – including fully stripping and re-building a turbo system (I know this is the easy bit but hey, its good to learn) and the importance of how a teeny tiny leak can cause massive problems

Took her out afterwards and ran like a dream. Im guessing there was a large airleak somewhere, of which when I was playing around must have moved it an inch and somehow solved it for a few mins.

Anyhow, just a HUGE thanks guys for all your help, id like to say Id love to repay the favour, lol, but im doubting I’ll out-knowledge any of you guys anytime soon. Sure I’ll be back with more problems soon enough though lol

Andy

Dude i told you Air Leak lol!!!

I have had several couplers get pin holes, and still let the car boost and run, but wouldnt idle very well. Never had a leak so bad that the car would just sputter and not rev at all. New to me, but hey.. sh*t happens!!!

does your standalone have a two step rev limiter feature ? It sounds like CPK sensor gone bad at first glance but still hard to pin point. Check your software setting and then go back to the hardware and then to the engine itself . Good luck.

Regarding the rev limiter - yes it has soft limiter at 6450 and hard at 6750 but the ecu is fine
