Ecu Reflashing
^^^ It won't matter.
Haven't started any write yet but just an update. Before I got her on the road I had some problems. All of you look into this if you start having some misfires or it’s running shitty or even just for the hell of it. After having the car for seven years my injector plugs where all swelled up and making the car run like shit. It starting happening about 2 years ago but it wasn’t all the time so I waited until I started my project before checking everything. My friend took a look at the plug and he said they are not a very good quality plug and before you start any project... you might want to change those plugs. It might save some headaches. LOL
The top of the plug is so expose to the elements, of course it crapped out.
Stock plug

New HKS plug

She was running mid 14.50 for a bit but it's looking like she needed to run on the road to burn up all the fuel that was dumped with the misfires on the dyno. Now shes clean and she is more thirsty. So it's running a little leaner but no worries. While I break in the turbo I'm loging everything down to have the perfect maps later. So I will hold off on the write for now.
Also pricing is being worked out now and I should have some details later this week or next week.

I've found someone else that can Dyno tune our factory ECU, unfortunately for you Yankees they are here in Australia. They might get the go ahead on my Turbo project that I'm about to start (thanks to the bank smile.gif)
I've got to go see them soon about what's included in their turbo package and try and sort a better deal since I already have some of the required equipment i.e Turbo and Manifold. They have a turbo kit for our cars fitted for $8500 fitted and dyno tuned. However I will talk to them and see if anything can be done to help you American's out.

We will be selling this mod as a kit. The kit will come with injectors, EPROM adapter put into the ECU, flashed chip with modified maps. Turbo Apps are first and to follow will be N/A apps. Right now the maps are set for 5psi and stock internals. You have to tell us if you are running more then 5psi and with lower compression so we can modify it properly. People with more will still have to use a piggy back but we will flatten out all the maps so it doesn't fight you. This will only be until I get internals done. After that you can sell your piggy backs. fing02.gif
What you need at this point is a spare ecu to send to us and we will send it back all modded and ready to go. It will take about 2 to 3 weeks.
Hopefully we can get this going within the next few months here. If we don't see some actual interest...then consider this a dead topic.
Does anyone have questions?

Keep in mind people like me (and maybe others, I don't know) are waiting on YOU to jump in on this. wink1.gif I will be down when you get your set-up done and can do what I want to the ECU completely.
how much is it going to cost for just the reflash and eprom adapter.
the ONLY thing i need is control over my ignition. with my current injector setup (dual rail) i have pretty much full control over my fuel injection, i just need control over my ignition so i can retard it a bit when i push more psi.
i could also use the revlimiter being removed so i dont over rev and hit fuel cut and BOOM. lol
and possibly some other maps messed with.
but yeah, what would be the price on the reflash and eprom adapter.

there is no use flashing and reprogramming an ecu without a dyno. For instance, u might have- 4-2-1 wildcat extractors while the tune might be for pacemaker 4-1 extr4actors... Every car and engine and mod is totally different. Unless you are willing to ship ur car with ur ecu then it is not worth doing. Rather purchase an aftermarket ecu.
