QUOTE (Supercow)
I thought we had to install the fpr to allow for the upgraded pump.... :?:

i don't know fo anyone who has actually tested a walbro 190 with our FPR.
The reason i recommended using the dsm fpr is because i have been told we need to use an FMU with our stock FPR. Which suggests to me its not a RRFPR. I knew the DSM one was. However our stock FPR does have a vacuum line which indicates it *might* be RRFPR but that has never been confirmed.
But I dont feel like sacrificing my engine when i have a few spare FPR's around here.

I'm 75% sure that the stock FPR is 1:1. A friend of mine should test if it is tomorrow, by pushing say 5psi in the FPR. If the fuel pressure raise by 5psi, then it's 1:1. If it is, the only thing that *could* be better with a DSM FPR is allowing for me flow, but that would need to be tested.

well after i spoke wit hAgarwal yesterday i've checked how the FPR reacted on my car,
baseline fuel pressure was at 44 psi (no hose hooked to the fpr)
i then applied 10 psi of air pressure to the FPR ... i ended up with 54 ps iof fuel pressure. .so yes... are FPR are 1:1 ratio like most all other cars

BTW, 2g DSM fpr flow a bit more then 1g DSM fpr

yeah i was going to update that... this mod is pointless now that I've done some reasearch because our stock FPR's are 1:1, and my car is running fine with a walbro 190 installed.
Also that brings up the point that if you put a DSM turbo FPR on it you will lose performance beacuse it has a lower stock fuel pressure. The NA one is either the same or maybe 1 or 2 psi more, but not much more.

HOWEVER
a good thing that came out of this is you can get the DSM flanges for an aftermarket FPR and modify them to work on our cars.

With that said, this topic is locked.
