The problem with the SC in the elantra now is the tuning.

#1. It is VERY heat sensative
#2 it deonates across a very wide RPM range (3500 to 6000 RPM).

The deontation is worst when the motor and air temps are hot. It's not even noticable at low RPM "normal" driving.

I've tried cooling the supercharger down with an external water mist, but it heats up again within 30 seconds, so a constant mist of water would be required. (and about 20 gallons).

The majority of Zorro's problems were solved by the retune, so I'm hoping that a similar retune will help the Elantra see some decent gains, and also make it less heat sensative.

@6 psi with these problems, I would NOT reccomend 8 PSI, unless you go with some form of stand alone engine managment solution (dump the unichip).

I'm also fairly convinced that the 5th injector setup on the Turbo and supercharger are the main faults with the setup. I might experiement with the Supercharger and one of those Power Commander ECU units, if we can ever secure a wiring diagram for it.

has any actually measure the amount of boost produced by the charger?
6psi for 20WHP doesnt seem right

I understand its in horrible tunning,... but if alpine lied about its 200HP output,... maybe it lied about the amount of boost?

As for the wiring diagram,... we got the fuel side, but we might not be able to use it for timing
Check the post,... you might be able to answer the *resistor question*

What about an SAFC? Has anyone tuned one of their turbos or superchargers with this?

I understand an SAFC only has 2 fuel maps?
The power commander has one for every 5% throttle change eek!

WHP to $ ratio...

Ahem, 5000 Cdn/20 WHP = $250 Cdn per 1 WHP.
Hmm even the ever so cheap AOS intake yields 3.5 WHP for $250. Or perhaps the best mod that gave gains so far, the BBTB/IM which cost me all of $250 Cdn, and yielded 5WHP. LOL, just buggin you morris! hehe...
