Default Alpine S/C in MAF

A friend of mine has the Alpine SuperCharger. But the wiring schematics for the Unichip is for the MAP system. He has the MAF system.

Has anyone in North America install the Alpine SuperCharger? Any problems that I may encounter installing this unit (other than the "RSS Crew" being in the way wink )

Contact Yam or Random. Random just bought the elantra with the Alpine S/C. After all the work and money I think that it barely put out more than stock numbers.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Yamaneko has the Alpine S/C on his Elantra... I think Yamaneko got his S/C about the same time Random got his Turbo..

I have both the SC Elantra and the Turbo from Alpine. The Elantra WAS Yamanko's, but he sold it to me as my daily driver.

In regards to the wiring diagram, I've got some stuff I can e-mail ya.
Drop me an e-mail.
Random@teamsr.org and I'll reply back with everything I've got.

What kind of gains did the S/C provide on the elantra?

next to none.

Last dyno on the Elantra n/a was 128 WHP
Last dyno on the elantra with Supercharger was 148hp.

Granted this was with horrible detnoation holes and the car runing richie rich.

Xorro managed 151 WHP with her setup prior to the SC. 152 WHP with the SC prior to tuning, and 171 WHP with the SC after re-tuning the Unichip.

So...the SC appears to give about 20 WHP.

Sh!tty deal. I was hoping for more HP. Morris (S/C guy) was saying that alpine claimed like 213 HP...

Well then theres still a chance I can beat Morris once he gets the S/C in.... I am running between 130-134 WHP depending on conditions and my cam isnt in yet... hehe... Morris is stock except for the S/C... well and he got got the CAM too... Comeon, I mean I know I will lose but it will be a graceful loss right? Bahh, wheres my NOS kit.... lol smile.gif

No ****.. I emailed Alpine for dyno info and they told me 213 hp on a chasis dyno (so I assume, that it was at the wheels) ... but how much tuning was involved and what other parts.

20hp seems low for a $5000 CDN upgrade.

I'll keep doing the N/A mods until I get my turbo in.

Well the charger is only running at 6PSI,... right???

Either way,... 6psi for 20WHP does suck

Switching the belt and adjusting it to produce 8psi should still be safe without an intercooler right??? it should only increase it by like 10WHP right or 20WHP?
Which should keep it away from blowing up right?
