aftermarket MAF + SAFC

DSMs use hertz for their reading for ecu we use volts
well, obviously, the SAFCII will convert the input readint from the eclipse MAF to the output reading specific to our cars... thats the whole point of that manuals instructions right ?
also, I spoke to John from alpine, and he told me that the current beta 2 blower is set to 8 psi stock.. lol smile.gif OHH YEAH !

you think i dont know this already?

apparently the S-AFC II uses some kind of translator in it. However im still wondering the effectiveness of it because the ECU still reads 5v as max and if the hertz gets too high to translate to 5v or less... the computer might freak out and make my car explode.. well not really but whatever it does after freaking out might be scary..
it has a conversion scale that adapts to whatever the input signal range is.
regardless, an input signal must have a minimum and maximum output... that is taken into account during the translation, so it wont to gover 5v to the ecm...
sheesh.
and OK, my kit is delayed at least one more week.. lol smile.gif

so basically if you do the wiring right and hack the SAFC2 you can go over the MAF limit, but then on the other hand you will need to control your fuel and it won't be possible with only 50% cut that SAFC2 provides

haha, someone should do it and see what happens smile.gif
did you ever fix your elantra?
did you ever fix your elantra?
