for those not watching the shoutbox and for search reasons, it isn't the engine trans combo. Unless it is verified as something else, it is the thin spacer deal. He probably had the one for the alpha, and it blocks the starter. You can buy a new one or shave/grind it down.

This thread is full of FAIL.

ACCENT2.0t, I don't know what your shop is telling you, but it's all wrong. As has been proven by literally hundreds of people who have been interchanging these transmissions for over a decade.
