dentist, i think the point of shadohh's post is that the alpha tranny is a push type clutch, whereas the beta tranny isn't. so, if you wanted to convert your beta tranny to a push type, then you'd swap the gears from the beta tranny into the alpha case. another point shadohh made is that the gears are shorter for the 105hp alpha engine and are probably weaker, as such. any news on the act clutch for betas? they have then for the previous gen 1.6L and 1.8L elantras, so i don't know why they haven't made a new one for 2L elantras/tibs.

Not to sound stupid but what is the big deal about the ACT clutch for the betas as I don't know much about it? There are all ready plenty of clutches out there for the beta. I mean look at KORE motorsports for example. I believe they have stage 2-5 clutches for the beta. Why not just get one of them???

Well...are selection kinda sucks. And ACT is a big brand name. so we are happy we get a quality clutch from them.

Clutchmasters is very hard in the pedal.

KORE have been known to slip when new (thou this has be supposedly fixed)

Other clutch brand names, just offer long lfie stock replacements.
