Three things:

I'm relocating with my job to Orange County, CA in three weeks.
Commiefornia has nothing good to say about any of the work I've done to my Tib.
I'm tired of the egos and power trips of the majority (but not all) of those who seem to "run" the Hyundai communities.

If any one of these things were not true, I'd keep my car and continue working on it. But with all three of these things being true, I'm selling the Tib and all parts related to it. The car is in 100% running order, it starts, drives, stops, and goes with minimal fanfare or fuss.

The car:
06/96 build date Tiburon "Rev A" FX 2.0L 5spd
Dark plum metallic color, but lots of missing clearcoat 02.gif
Multitude of door dings, small dents in the "humps" of the hood
The stock front bumper has a very small crack in the corner near the headlamp on one side (can't see it with the hood closed)
No leaks in any of the door, window or sunroof seals, and the sunroof works
All the windows roll up and down, the door locks work
All the lights work except the reverse lights; it has a faulty reverse switch (I have a brand new switch but haven't installed it)
Windshield wipers all work, although the rear wiper needs a new blade
100% clear title, current registration, taxes and insurance in the State of Kentucky
Driven several times weekly to and from my office, or to other random areas on the weekends.
I can't absolutely guarantee it, but if your state has "sniffer" smog inspections, it should pass without issue
If your state goes looking for the catalytic converter, PCV valve, and O2 sensors, it will pass visual inspection
If your state plugs into the OBD2 system in the car for smog testing, you don't want this car

The motor
41mm crank block
Block has been bored .020" over with Ross 9:1 forged pistons and Crower rods
Pistons use custom thicker rings with more radial depth (compression rings are 1.8mm thick, oil ring is 3.00mm thick)
Pistons have 0.05" wall clearance for ~500WHP power handling, but it sounds like a diesel when cold smile.gif
Block has been decked to 0.015 quench clearance when cold
Head ported by Manny Rodriguez of Saleen
Custom set of ARP studs for both the head and main caps
Air Ram intake
HVE 58.5mm throttlebody
HVE 4-1 header

The fueling:
750CC peak-and-hold (low-impedance) injectors, freshly returned from RC Engineering pressure cleaning
Aeromotive adjustable FPR (with guage)
Stock fuel rail modified to accept an -8an line between the return end and the FPR
Walbro 255LPH high-pressure unit (replaced it less than three months ago, as the old one died due to gunk in the tank)
New fuel tank (as the stocker killed the old Walbro pump due to nasty gunk in it)
New genuine Hyundai fuel filter

Engine management:
Haltech E6K
3 bar map
Innovate LC1 wideband O2 sensor and associated Innovate DB (blue) gauge
Compaq Armada M300 P3/600 + 64mb ram for tuning (yes, this will come with the car)
Tuned sufficiently to allow normal driving, starting. Not "dyno tuned" to the current build though...

Suspension
So far as I know, this is the only 5-lug GK-swapped RD currently in any of the Hyundai forums. Prove me wrong?
2003 GK GT wheels painted black (some of the paint came off when mounting the new tires) and black lugs
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 215/45ZR17 that have less than 200 miles on them
H&R Touring Cup kit (springs + struts) with less than 200 miles
Eibach front and rear sway bars
Adjustable sway bar links
Eibach camber adjustment bolts on all four corners
Aligned at the same time that all the suspension and tires went on (ie, less than 200 miles ago)

Brakes
EBC dimpled and slotted 11" rotors for the GK
Axxis Ultimate Ceramic brake pads
Front calipers from a 2006 GT (Red with the silver "Hyundai" emblazoned on them)
Stainless steel brake lines from one of the groupbuys here in the forum

Misc crap in or on the car
Carbon fiber-looking dash
Eclipse 5342R head unit
Random K&N-lookalike cone intake filter
Got some of those hard-plastic shift cable linkage things
Also have a set of the replacement metal grommets for the shift base too

Parts that come with the car, but are not installed: (you can leave whatever you don't want)
Two used stock intake manifolds, one bored out to the proper diameter for the HVE TB
Brand new Nitrous Express direct-port 10lb kit (50/100/150/200 nozzles)
Brand new spare clutch master cylinder with stainless steel hydraulic line (matches the brake lines)
Brand new spare OEM flywheel
Pair of SR 264-degree cams from Yamaha
Brand new Fidanza adjustable cam gear
Single random 24x? degree intake cam with the rare RSide adjustable cam sprocket
Spare used 550cc and stock 245cc injectors
Single 1.8L intake cam
Spare stock dash (double-din radio / shifter section, gauge surround section)
Haltech twin dumb ignitor module (car currently uses an RX7 toggle ignitor for spark)
Haltech idle air control valve (car currently has no idle control except for the throttle screw)

I've spent $3000 on this car in just the last six months. If I had the time to part this car out, there's probably $4000 worth in crap to sell individually on the used market. The SR 264-degree cams, that RS adjustable intake cam sprocket, the ARP studs, the headwork, and of course the 5-lug swap are all nearly impossible to find for all the obvious reasons. Even the airram, while not impossible to find, is still a pretty expensive part to go buy ad-hoc.

But I'm not going to dick around with low-ball offers, and I am not going to part it out. The car is $1500, title-in-hand, and two keys. If $1500 doesn't take it by October 31st (that's a Saturday) at 11:59AM EST, then I'm going to store it in a barn under a car cover for the next five or six years until I return from Commiefornia.

Anyone who asks me about parting it out is entirely welcome to provide me a check for $1500 and I will give you ALL of the parts in a convenient easily-movable package.

Pictures from my HyundaiProject website: http://www.hyundaiproject.com

I'll take more tonight and post them up. I've even "unlocked" the pictures I removed from the 5-lug DIY thread.

The car (and I) are located at the south edge of Louisville, KY. The daily work commute is pretty paltry, perhaps six miles at most. The entire motor has less than 3000 miles on it since the build; the chassis has ~104k total.

I also missed posting about the HVE short shifter that's been installed since forever ago, and a Juntos polished aluminum shift knob that isn't installed but you can have if you want it. I have some other random spare parts too, such as almost a complete set of spare engine mounts, an unorthodox racing crank pulley, and some other random stuff.

Power steering is still in there, but I pulled all the AC equipment. Also, the blower motor is unplugged under the dash; I missed re-connecting it when I pulled the dash last time. I'll probably install the reverse switch in the next week or so as I want my reverse lights back smile.gif The axle seals are also new, as I had one leaking a while back. And that H&R Touring Cup kit is pretty much the first one off their assembly line, it took me six months just to get it in from when I ordered it, as they hadn't even started making them yet (the sport cup is different than the touring cup, FYI) Go find my b****ing thread about it if you're interested.

I'll gladly sell you any individual component for $1500, and throw in the rest of the car for free smile.gif

It's an all or nothing situation -- either I'm keeping it, or I'm getting rid of it. If I keep it, then I want the spares. If I'm getting rid of it, then whatever doesn't go away is going directly to the metal recycle yard or tossed. I have to sell my house, pack my crap, and move 2200 miles in three weeks -- I don't have the spare downtime to package stuff, work out shipping dates, worry about people dibbing or not dibbing, and all the other nonsense.

If I had three months to plan for this, I'd take the aircompressor and rip the entire car down to the frame and sell all the little parts individually. That would obviously be the more profitable way to do it laugh.gif

I'm only offering it for sale in this forum, in this thread, because it's my opinion that this is still the most upstanding group of RD owners left on the intardtubes. Someone here would very likely take care of it and give it a good home, or maybe they'd part it out in a hundred different ways, but it would find another hundred good homes regardless.
