I have no problems with a Honda Civic. But everyone that has one thinks they own the road. How many have u smoked a civic and did it put up a battle?

 

I killed a hatchback yesterday...the car was hot got to give it props, it lookd mad nice, but once i passed him he couldn't catch me even though i almost lost it on a turn....(i'm rolln on snow tires now)....

 

I know Random is gonna move this... smile.gif haha, so I'm gonna say... how many hyundai owners think they own the road. I'm not trying to start crap, but if you look at all the posts, its about us beating this, us beating that... its never "I lost" except a couple occassions, and I give them props. I'm not trying to start trouble, its just reality. There are sooo many cars that can beat hyundais, especially in the 4cyl world. Integra Type-Rs, SIs, WRXs [I know, I know], and I'm sure there are a whole bunch more... just remember that you're not always going to be the fastest. smile.gif race family luxury sedans... feel good about yourself... smile.gif ALSO, I'm sure that there are a crap load of cars we are faster then, that is true. Especially once they're modded, since hyundais respond very nicely to modifications... I'm just saying, lets all not be honda owners. wink.gif tongue.gif

 

Oh I understand completely what u are saying about Si, WRX and everything. Hell I lost to an Integra GSR. But most people think that Hyundai' suck. I love my Tiburon. I give it crazy props on what it can do. Its not the fastest but def. not the slowest. smile.gif

yeah I know car Isnt the fastest,and there are alot of cars out there that can beat my tibby.It goes both ways though,there are alot of cars I can beat as well.Just keep in mind "there Is always someone faster".my 2 cents

All I know is that I used to have a civic and sorry peeps but I know it couod beat my tibby. I didn't have any serious work done to it but from driving both of them I know it would win. I know I have a decent car and I don't go around gloating about it. If I win I win if I lose I admit it and I find the guy and tell him it was a good race. I hate peeps that are all like I always win and I never lose.

 

stock vs. stock, the only civic that can beat a tib/elantra is the SI. But that is to be expected..it cost a few grand more.

 

Yam makes a good point, the ONLY stock civic that can beat an Elantra or a Tib is the SI....and thats thanks to 30-40more hp, depending on which hyundai motor u got. I have raced SIs before and have always gotten beat, but its not by much. Even some Accords are beatable by Elantras and Tibs. I took an accord off the line, I eventually lost cause he passed me, but I think it might have been becuase of juice...he went by real quick and I know VTEC aint THAT fast....I happily admit when I lose...it makes me want to work harder at getting my car faster. I even raced an S4...i never had a chance in hell, but it was fun!

1FSTSHARK, which civic did u have and wut kind of mods?? I have personally beaten every type of civic from about 92s-99s, dx to ex, Hatch to 4 door and had no problem. This doesn't mean I haven't lost, cause a few that weren't stock have handed me my ass.

As far as other cars being faster and who can beat who, it all comes down to car class. Like when I got beat by the S4...he's only about..$22,000...above our price range...thats not a fair comparison, unless I spent about $10,000 in mods. Civics, Corollas, Mirages...they are our competition, or at least mine for know....but hopefully by the summer I'll be able to roll wit and beat an S4.
