SRT-4 = 6 speeds I thought... and they aren't very good off the line either way. He can mod it for free into the low 13s if he actually looked on the net into how to bleed some vaccum from the wastegate in order for it to make more PSI...
BTW, SRT-4s are not weak at all in corners. They handle very well... I haven't had any chance to take the Tib full power through the twisties, but the SRT-4 I drove handled it fairly well.

^^ Dodge actually underrated the power (some manufacturers do). Some actually make 240 to the wheels stock, and around 230whp.
And yes, I checked, and it is a 5-speed <_< I remember wrong.

mostly so they dont over rate it in case they get sued and have t recall or make it better to the ppl that bought them. Something like that happened with the tibs to but dont know exactly what happened since i didnt own mine at that time. Its posted around here somewhere!

^^ That and it helps insurance rates stay a little lower to make it an easier buy for the younger age crowd (which was what it is promoted for)... same reason cars such as the SRT-4 and the GSX still kept backseats, even though the only thing that would fit in them is a 4 year old.
