Went to capitol with ultratibby, saw another rd and 5 or 6 gks, those guys were running high 14s smile.gif

I saw ultra race only once and he got 18s..... dunno what's wrong with him, he said he didnt miss a gear or anything, we will see what he should say about it smile.gif but with his mods he should be in low 15s high 14s smile.gif

Me on the other hand with a conversion of my $40 WAI into a some sort of CAI with just a piece of mandrel bent pipe got me into 16.06 with bad traction in 1st. I was only able to run 3 times, 1st run I got amazing traction 2.35 for 0-60', but missed second gear and got 17.0 something. Second time I spun through 1st like crazy and had 2.44 for 0-60' which got me into 16.23. and the last time after I let my car cool off for a little while I didnt get a great traction, 2.39 0-60', but shifted perfectly and got 16.06. So, I come to conclusion that I need better tires than I have on now ( one of them is bald) and launch at lower RPMs and I will get into desired 15s with just a ghetto CAI smile.gif

Yeah it was fun.... I sucked @$$ but its all good. Finally I didn't have any problem with 2nd gear and you know what????? I forgot to lower my pressure down from my 40PSI on the front and I smoked the shit outa my tires twice. The worst part is that I had like a .6 reaction time (not too bad I think) and still got 18's cause of the burn!!!! Damn it all, if it isn't one thing its something else :? . I'm gonna do some work on the fuel system and get the greddy emanage up and tuned and then I will give it a try again. If it goes crapy again then screw it, time for AutoCross!

All those mods you should be in the 15's.... Done a compression check lately? Thats the only thing I could think of that will drop you 3 seconds w/out dropping a cylinder.. Unless your car is that poorly tuned, which I highly doubt?? Just not right 02.gif

how the hell is it hard to break into 15s if I'm on edge of breakin into 15s with a CAI, any tiny mod and I'm there w/out any problems, and I'm sure if I work on my launches and better tires I will be there smile.gif come on 0.06 of a second isn't too much to break....

thanks for bein optimistic..... and i'm really sorry that you barely broke into 15s with over $1000 invested into performance mods, I'm on the edge of doin it and only invested $50 into my ghetto CAI. I don't think anyone has done this!

It seems that hardest part is breaing the 15second barrier. Why don't you buy and underdrive pully/set? I bet that will get you where you want to be. You still did pretty good Odessit.

Here we go with this retarded argument again.

But, I was right.

You STILL didn't break into the 15's with a CAI.
