thats the story of our cars because they are FWD and lightweight. we always do much better from a roll

well, i wouldnt call the intake that i had ram air intake because it wasnt just a straight piece of pipe, it was actually some kind of imitation of cai, the filter was close to the ground(good), but too close to the tranny, so you cant call it a CAI because it sucks in warm and, and you cant call it ram because the pipe was pretty long and curvy.

You guys just need to spend some time learning how to launch your car; a while ago I remember on EXD.com people were saying that they all launch at 2700-3000rpms, i tried that the 1st time i went to the track and guess what... i spun through the 1st, and half second.... then i tried lowering my launching point and lately i've been trying to launch at about 2200rpms, but i think its a little too high as well, next time i go to the track i will be launching at about 2100-2000rpms smile.gif

If you dont care about your tires and really want to get good times and good traction I'd suggest smoke the hell out of your tires before you stage. I get better tractions if I smoke my tires than if I didn't. Also, try different launch points and compare your 0-60ft tires to see which one will offer the best results. Also shifting is important, 1st gear go until about 6200rpms before you go into second because if you go lower you'll end up in lower rpms with 2nd gear and you dont want that, for some reasons our trannies are designed this gay way, and then shift at 5900rpms smile.gif

Yeah I'll need new tires so that's an idea. I read elswhere to shift around 6200 early, then earlier as you go up in the gears. Last time I went I was running up to around 5800-6000 in third and just shifting into fourth, most of the time just as I was crossing. Just talking about this gets me all excited just to go and drive!

haha, well let your 1st gear go almost to the redline and rest of the gears would be fine under 6000rpms smile.gif
