I like the idea of the show, however the constant whining is getting old. Everyone wants to win by a landslide. It'd be nice if there were closer races. Just because someone sold the losers car back for a dollar does not make the show rigged in my eyes. Just shows good sportsmanship. I bet the rest of the losers wish they were so lucky.
I think the show will be way better when they start going heads up.
Of course this has its drawbacks as it becomes the most money wins type racing. They could use a staging tree but then it is bracket racing to see who can leave the tree first. The point of the arm dropping to go is suppose to resemble street racing. Also he can hold his arms up to 5 seconds (I think it was) so there is no way to 'time' your starts like you can if you train with a practice tree.
The other major drawback to heads up racing is you miss seeing the mid 80's Olds 4-door run a Cal custom hot rod.
