Represent Rd On Pinks..
and you blow everything out of proportion 2 x over...
get a grip man. everybody admitted to thinking the woman was a joke, but saying you're happy she is dead shows your immaturity and lack of respect for life. i wasnt even so mad at your first post about it as i was that you did it in 3 separate places...seems like you were trying to egg people on.
ive seen commercials for the show and it looks retarded. im not going to watch it, and unless you know someone that has participated in it dont make claims. shows like that are always rigged in some way.

i think the show is awesome, and if anyone says the show sucks then you should just say that tunning and making your car faster to race on a track sucks. this is why i tune my car so i would love to see an rd vs honda show
lol, people comparisons on here suck...

these have no relation..
another fake reality show about racing for 'pinks' thats probably staged; can't be compared to the passion people pulling the most power out of their cars and taking them to the track to see what times they ran.
its not even close to a good comparison.
thats fine that you think the show is awesome, but some people think survivor is awesome, some people think the bachelor is awesome, and some people also like real world.. lol

Well, not making claims because I dont know anybody in it is understandable, but in the same respect, your making a claim without ever watching it, or knowing anyone in it laugh.gif
And the whole Anna nicole thing was very funny and true... comon now, read it again =P. Secondly, I didnt blow anything out of porportion, I talked in the same respect everyone else did, I just had a "Differing" view. whats wrong with debating? not everyone is the same, just b/c we all have or had a tiburon at one point dont mean were all the same.

The thing about the show I do not understand is why they do not use the starting tree. I can understand for the cars that get so many lengths and end up past the tree. But the host always has to start the race which to me is not as fair as a starting tree would be.

textbook blowing out of proportion.
look at monoxides post. people lost their car, and bought it back for a dollar. weird.
the show just doesnt look interesting at all to me anyway.

They don't use the tree because its supposed to be represenative of street racing.
And Kaw, you've never owned and/or driven a 10 second car, let alone taken it down the track. Especially with big block motors on Pinks, which is what mostly is run, your going to have high overheat issues because cooling down such a large motor is quite the task. Let a 520 cubic inch motor idle on a track seeing 120 degree temperatures and see how fast it stays cool.
As for cars on there, I probably wouldn't want to see a Tib on there. The money needed to invest in one to make it fast is far greater than any old foxbody Mustang or large V8 that you'll see on there. Most cars on there were built fast with spare parts, and were quite cheap to build. It would take a Tib $10,000+cost of the car to even come close to running with just some of the mild bolt-on cars that run there. And to be honest, no one would take a $20k Tib and run it against a $6k older Mustang thats going to run faster times most likely anyway, and do it with more consistency.
Displacement wins in cheapness department to be honest.

I like it. And it's a good promotion of track racing and where you should be building and taking your car without having to have million dollar sponsors and bank accounts on national television. Especially when you see some of our local shops on the East coast show up. It's cool.
