Default Oil starvation when autocrossing

Whats the best way to prevent oil starvation when autocrossing? Im doing my first one next week and I want to make sure my engine is safe since I'll be beating on it. Also, is synthetic oil still the best to use when autocrossing? I have to do an oil change tomorrow too.

Good quality synthetic is best to use only if your engine will be running. If you plan not to run the engine, it's not superior. Oil starvation: not much you can do. Run a flush before you drain your old oil and use an oil that is thin enough to pump. Otherwise, unless you want to fit an aftermarket external oil pump, that's about it.

If your engine starts ticking badly you're running into issues. If not, you're fine. If it's ticking like mad and you go for another run it is asking for trouble (although that's what I do lol).

I wouldn't throw parts at it until you determine there is a problem.

Not much you can do? How about try building a better oil pan designed for racing with a larger sump and better baffling?

If you have a problem, you could go a few different directions to ensure your engine remains properly oiled.

Here are my current plans, they may be similar to something you would want to try:

Completed-

High volume oil pump - did not help since it's a starvation issue (maybe even made it worse since it sucks up the oil quicker)

Phase 1- I have this already (except for oil temp) but still need to install everything-

oil cooler

sandwich plate adapter

oil pressure gauge

oil temperature gauge

Phase 2- I already know I need this but have not bought these yet.

Install new & improve upon existing baffles in oil pan

Accusump

I'm not omniscient. Perhaps you are and can answer this.

the question (for those in the back of the room) is rhetorical. Nobody (almost nobody) gets a $500 oil pan so they can prevent oil starvation on a $2000 car for one autocross event

P.S. please notice how an X comprises two lines. Those lines cross. Auto cross.

Lol people are willing to spend 700 for a air ram on a 2000 car

2000 for a body kit on a 2000 car

Hell I probably have 10x what my car is worth in a turbo setup

A entire dry sump setup would probably be cheaper than 500 bux and would be well worth it on a designated autox car

Oh and for clarification I'm 90% sure they are making fun of you cuz you called it a circuit like its some sorta gran turismo challenge
