lol slow vs slow i guess your right socks. Thought about getting nitrious but i have 130,000. I dont know how my engine would handle it (plus im a noob and im kinda teaching myself everything as i go i dont think i could do nitrous) that would be sweet though.

dude 16.6 i could swear thats what a stock tib runs mine is standard im hoping to get under 16.

oh and i guess i have till june 20 im not really worried though he told me he ran a 16.2 with his full exhaust, header, and wai he said it was a shitty run but im still not worried.

Im gonna get the lightweight and underdrive pullys, BBTB, and ported IM and phenolic spacer, do some weight reduction, and a STS.

I've got a STS, catback exhaust, Airram, bbtb, and cai. I also took out the spare tire, jack, passenger seat(I have no rear seats to take out), and only had a 1/4 of a tank. I drove to the track and ran a 15.3 smile.gif

I was reading this thread thinking the Z24 would stomp the heck out of the Tib. I used to own one... However, mine was a 94 Z24 which used the 3.1L V6 engine. They discontinued it. I think it would be a near equal race, with the cavalier having a slight advantage of .4L of displacement.

Run a 50 shot of nitrous. Your car can handle it as long as it's running well to start with.

It's as easy or as hard as you want it to be. You COULD install it within 8 hours. I took 9 days on my installation to make things perfect.

Ryane,

I ran a 15.485 1/4 with a 9.99 1/8th mile. I have a standard with a CAI, OBX headers, 2.25" catback exhaust, SR underdrive pulleys, used the 205/50/15 kuhmo's. You shouldnt have a problem beating that cavalier

Go to the track and practice your launches. 90% of the race depends on your launch. Also, be sure to specify if the winner will be the one who has the fastest time, or the one who gets to the end first. You can sit all day long at the line with a big green light shining and if you don't move the time won't start. That means you don't have to try and anticipate the green light because trying that can lead to a red light if your not careful. I bracket raced a little, and starting off I wouldn't try to anticipate the green since I was new at it.

On the launch, try to find the sweet spot for your setup. You want to give it as much gas as possible, without spinning the tires.

I didn't know how many times you've run the 1/4 so I thought I'd post some advice up.
