nope, still won't be 175hp.</div>
agreed... you'll definately need the Ram Air and something to advance the timing to even think about hitting 175whp and probably a set of 270 cams rather than just the 1.8 Cams

Re: Stock Dash mounted switches anyone???
I may be mistaken, as I don't own it, but I thought the MSD had the ability to advance the timing on the spark as well as retard it along with a 2-stage rev limiter, etc.
I'm assuming by Ram Air you're talking about KSpec's IM. Boring and polishing the stock manifold, which really isn't a bad design, would achieve similar/same results. I've been led to the conclusion you can bore out the stock TB to 58mm as well.
Even if you went with 272s, which wouldn't have to be high strength, you'd be about even with the turbo costs.
------
Ahh well, I'll leave this be until UltraTibby or someone else with most n/a mods beats me to a dyno. Plenty of 420As are making similar power with similar mods, but plenty of them have been monkeying around with n/a for years. None of you want to touch it. lol.gif

Re: The Legitimacy of our 1/4 miles
Bleh, we'll see. I'll probably monkey around N/A for a while before I run some nitrous through the engine. laugh.gif Hell, I'm sure if I run 15.5 on stock tires and I/E I can get to low-mid 14s full n/a tongue.gif I may have less horsepower, but maybe I'm a better driver. lol.gif 60-foot times need work though. :?

Re: The Legitimacy of our 1/4 miles
well my car has the BIM 58mm, BTB 58mm. AEM CAI, 4-2-1 header, 2.5" catback, Fidanza flywheel, Spec Stage 3 clutch, front and rear strut bars, S-AFC II, B&G lowering springs, KYB struts. I seriously doubt im pulling 175 whp.
Here is where your reasoning is wrong. The air ram IM is 68mm and betas respond like crap to NA mods. Its been proven

Re: ebay rant
Depends on altitude, temperature, humidity, air density, car quality, and the intelligence of the driver. Didn't you run 15.1 or something with all of that?
I know Tibbies aren't the most responsive to n/a in the world, but I think a mid 14 on street tires can be easily pulled in the right situation. If the Air-Ram is 68mm, its a bit overkill for n/a. More suited for turbo use. Depending on how the IM bores out, I may have to make my own.

The only way you'll hit 175hp is if you fabricate your dyno sheet or borrow a friend's..like I've said numerous times...
You'll never make 175hp with the mods you listed..not now, not when you dyno it, not ever. lol.gif    wink.gif
