I have nothing against Croatia, they are a great team... but the game should have been 2-2.
It's all good, Italy is first place, so I am not worried. smile.gif

Hey Croat, I'm not suggesting by any means that Croatia isn't any good.

They are, but I just think that with so much youth they may not have the ponies to get them there! Yes, Croatia should advance to the second round but that's when everything gets tougher. If Senegal beat France it certainly isn't impossible for Equador to beat you guys!

This will be Portugals last solid chance for a while now. Mainly because the team is mainly comprimised of the 1994 Under 21 World Cup Championship team. Most of these guys will be gone or too old by the next cup. Portugal just has to come together and gel as a team. I'm confident that it will happen their next game vs. Polond. We seem to play our best w/ some pressure. I can't wait!

Good luck to all Nations.....

Except Poland and South Korea that is! tongue.gif

In a few of the brackets there are a bunch of close calls. Portugal/South Korea/and the US all have the next 2 games an a huge importance, along with Mexico/Croatia/Italy.

It will be an interesting weekend wink

Its pretty tight for Portugal/South Korea/US/Poland since Portugal won. We'll just have to wait for the Portugal/South Korea game and US/Poland game to see what happens.

People weren't too happy here in Korea with the 1-1 tie. Both teams had a few good chances, but Korea could have pulled out a win. The US goalie did a good job on the penalty kick.
Its pretty exciting.

I really should get a ticket to a game... but just not a South Korean game cause if they lose, it would be just ugly. wink

So France is out... which was obviously something that shocked the hell out of me.
I hope that Mexico and Italy will be a good game and I am sure it will, Italy HAS to win this game in order to secure a qualification.

Go Italy! smile.gif

I'm not supprised that France is out at all. They are not that great of a team, and were not in the 1998 WC also.

The Italy/Mexico game should be interesting as that might determine Croatia's fate (along with their game vrs Ecuador). I'll be loosing sleep for some more days!!

USA! USA! heh, all they have to do is tie Poland and they will advance.

Korea was definately outplaying the US during the second half, but that goal by Clint Mathis was sweet! Also the save on the penalty shot was quite impressive also. (Only penaltly kick saved by a keeper during WC so far)

Personally I think Spain will go all the way and win. They have some very talented players who show a lot of potential.

I called up my friends in France to rub it in that thier team lost. They say it is because 9 of 11 starters were injured.
