Wow, VERY well said.

I really can't understand how they can NOT teach both... they are scientifically both THEORIES, neither of which can be proven or disproved via science. Giving one side of the equation just doesn't make sense... I compare it to China's government deciding what can be published within their country. Here, the government is deciding what we can or can not expose our children to. For decades, we've taught them a theory that can't be proven, while a vast majority of the population "CLAIMS" to be Christian, which would seem to imply they disagree with the theory being taught.

oh well, that's getting off topic. It just really doesn't make sense why we can't teach both. People are scared of insulting the minority.. I think I just want a President / VP who is ANTI-ACLU

I am right with you Majik. Every point that TC brought up I loved.

I also would like to say I am very impressed with this reaching two pages before getting out of hand. Nice job guys, lets keep it civil.

Ericy321 - I agree. This thread has been very well maintained and tactful. Cudos to everyone on that point. Everyone has differing views. Even though I dont agree with some of the things Majik or REDZ say, I can understand where they come from. Thats why this country is so great. If we all agreed, nothing would ever progress or get done. Sometimes the progress may not be the most efficient or best route, but it happens none the less.

Back on topic I suppose. LOL! REDZ and Majik, you bring up fantastic points. Points that really I dont think can be argued any further. I totally respect your ideals, I hope you feel the same with my points of view. Great topic, I hope others chime in to broaden the perspectives here. fing02.gif

I will bring my comments to the table and hope everyone else does as well.

I hope you do more research tibbytib, and are able to further a rebuttal. I don't want to shut you up, I more than welcome any debate on the Presidential candidates, as long as it can be focused on factual information that can be debated.

"-opposes abortion
-supports capital punishment
-supports teaching creationism alongside evolution
-opposes same sex marriage."

Still never found out how to use the quote feature, anyhow, with her views being how they are and the debate about the issues that she is actually going through at the moment it will throw a lot of people off. I mean think about how many gay people there are in the US. By trying to openly say I want to get rid of same sex marriages, that makes her seem less open to how the world is today. And also opposing abortion, that opposition is a very debated subject. And by saying you are trying to get rid of it, some women may feel as if there "will" or "freedom" if you will is being taken away to choose to do that or not. I mean if somehow they passed something saying no abortion once so ever, and someone was raped and wanted an abortion and they said no I can not do it or I will lose my job, would that be considered justice? I am just saying the things she opposes are things that a lot of people value or hate. And that is not the way to go about getting votes.
