my great great grandpa's model 1892 winchester .38-40 rifle lever action

serial number #161220 which would've made it produced in either 1902 or 1903. (winchester produced 15k to 20k per year)

original bluing, original stock, saddle ring.

it has gone out every whitetail rifle season that i know of since 1968 when my dad was given it. bullets for it are hellaciously expensive for it (40 bux for 25 qty. but it is a family tradition so to speak so i still do it.

hate to know just how many deer that damn gun has taken cause just from me i have the pics of 10 does and 5 bucks from the time it was given to me back in 2002.

my other dearest possession is my grandpa's navy dolphins. he was a lifer submarine torpedoman . back then (WWII era) they made them out of silver.
