Default To Stay Hyundai or go DSM

First off I realize that I may get bias answers.
Heres my 2001 tiburon (90kmiles)
IHE, pullys, stage 2 clutch, aem uego, aem fic, blah blah.

I would like to go turbo as I bought my car completely stock and enjoyed modding it myself but im wondering if it is more cost effective to just get a gsx or a gst and build that. I have a small amount of change saved for cars ($1500) and im debating to keep collecting turbo parts (already have intercooler and piping) Or try to get $2000 for my tib and spend the 1500 on a beat up gsx or gst for around 3500.

I dont really want to go for high horsepower, I just would be happy with around 200hp for a little more pep. I like the look of the 2g eclipse better but I like how the tiburon looks smaller.

Maybe im rambling but I need to make a decision and soon this money is burning in my pocket.

BTW the eclipse will actually be a few dollars less for insurance cool.gif

Considering a G2 is a bit older AND any gsx/gst will have been run hard for long periods of time, I'd stay with the tib you know.
DSMs are fun but regularly abused so buying a used one for a project might be nice, but for any kind of daily needs it'll be quite finicky

Just my 2¢

Yeah maybe some day I can just get a DSM for a project car

Well I do like how I sort of know my way around my tiburon.
I can get a new engine with 50k shipped to my local terminal for $400-600.
A DSM 4g63t is what 1000-1500.
Not to mention how unreliable people say DSMs are.
