Oh and floyd I say move to Cali. Bigger cities more job veriety.
I'm guessing that IF he has the option, he'll opt away from the cities. wink.gif

Yeah, I'm hoping to stay in the local area for now, but if it gets bad enough that I end up losing my house or something I will relocate...preferably to a smaller town, maybe withing commuting distance of a major town.
Today the hammer fell, this is my last day. I'm cleaning things up and then heading off to get drunk.

Fintile, Pref. need exp in something, every tool set is different. You mostly need to show you know how to learn and figure issues out on your own. A degree helps allot, some guys don’t have one, but they have like 10 years in auto industry or something like that.
Wish they were hiring, If they start up again I will post it up..
Floyd, I am sorry to hear about your job. Hope things work out.

Sorry to hear it man. Things are bad everywhere. I think the only reason i'm still afloat is because the area i'm in is the "old money" part of the state, so the restaurant is still doing decent numbers.
Good luck in the search for the next job, and take care of that (pending) hangover, lol.

I graduated from mechanical engineering in may of 2008. Im going going to be taking nursing in sept of 2009. Engineering is a tough field these days. You can lose your job on a random day for a random reason. Nurising is different, they actually need nurses all the time, the pay is better, and there is less stress.
Also getting drunk after you lose your job is not the best start...good luck though.

I didn't get too drunk, just enough to have a good time.
I am sort of excited at some prospects I have in the meantime.
I figured out that for the 6 months that I'm on unemployment we will be fine. After that I'll think of something if things haven't recovered.
Thanks everyone!
