i went from guelph, to montreal, to halifax and back plus a lot of driving while i was in those places.

sevral trips up north to sauble beach to this cottage my family always rents (3.5-4 hours highway drive at 100KMS+ an hour), and out to a lot of CSCS events in cayuga(45-1 hour highway drive) and grand bend (2.5-3 hour drive highway)

and i went on a baseball trip with my bro, kicked off in toronto with a jays game, went to NYC and seen a mets game and a yankee game, went to boston seen s soxs game, then chicago to see a game, then a clevland indians game, and then back to ontario, so far since i started driving the tib i went from 179 206 to 195 389 lol.

Hey KR with a real thread, good job.

Used to do SEVERAL road trips inside NY that went Parish->Syracuse->Rochester->Buffalo->Fredonia, only worth noting because i probably did it 20 times.

let me see here.

NY -> toronto -> NY (yankee game and tour of canuk land) (2X)

NY->OH->NY (Senior Trip)

NY->VT->NH->ME->NH->VT->NY (tagged along on a friend's family road trip)

NY ->PA->MD->VA->MD->PA->NY (visiting brother & on the way home snowboarding in PA)

NY->PA->NJ (and some times to NYC) (Several times, Swifts old house)

NY->PA->NJ->DE->MD->VA->NC->SC->GA->FL (NJ was a via point on our way to florida)

NY->MA->NY (to get an engine)

Living in CNY anytime i leave the state its a long trip.

soon to do the FL trip again, FOR GOOD!

good lord...

1070 miles in one day, good luck.

if you read this or not here are a few tips from st louis to at least hays.

when starting to get close to stlouis take 270 N. around st.louis(exit 15a-b), your car will appreciate it. on 270 take the exit for 370 (exit 22 or 23, can't remember) then back to 70. this will save you 9 miles plus severe tire damage as I-70 straight St. Louis totally sucks.

good place to get gas will be the flying J on exit 193 , warrenton exit.

watch your tail getting close to columbia,missouri hp love that place.

missouri roads are better in the hammer lane, try and stay in this lane as much as possible.

driving through Kansas city is not that bad no need to take 435 around not to mention it about 25 miles more to drive.

when you hit the kansas turnpike on I-70 you will need $2.40 to give the toll lady in topeka. I suggest you take the 470 route around topeka as you will miss all the topeka downtown ttraffic and the tight turns downtown which suck in traffic and they have alot of accidents down there.

you can make a bit of time on the turnpike, i normally drive 80mph on it and get passed quite a bit. HP is on there but cant turn around due to the barricade between.

there are usually a ton of highway patrollman and sheriffs cars on the west side of topeka, no faster than 75mph until you start seeing signs for ft.riley. at this point make DAMN sure you are doing the speed limit as the cops are worse around the junction city area.

once you get approximately 10 miles west of JC you can open her back up to 75 mph to 78 mph with no worries until you get to the exit for abiliene. from Abilene to Salina watch for HP.

once you past the I-135/I-70 interchange you are pretty much smooth sailing as you are getting in the area where the hootowls screw the porch chickens,lmao. have fun, I-70 after salina gets kinda rough and rutty.

one more thing...after Russell in western Kansas watch for HP out there until you get to Hays, another hotspot.

if you have any problems after 3pm and need help here is my work number: 785-456-9631, ask for Lee.

Thanks for the help Lee. The HP presence was very heavy all the way through 70 in KS. I thought the road was pretty smooth the whole way. LOOOONG straight shots that just beg for you to open up on, but I behaved myself. Missouri was was quick and dirty. Traffic was light, but really fast. Had I gone the speed limit I would have stuck out. 75mph in CO. Whoohoo!!

no problem bud.

yeah i thought about you driving that day. we had a guy from day shift come back to work later on that night and said something about all the damn cops on the road from my exit to topeka.

he counted 4 hp's and 3 sheriff's in that 25 mile stretch, sheesh.
