ok... so porsche designed the suspension... lotus the body... what did hyundai design? and yes that is a good question kit-fox... were there any other influences in the tibby from other automotive manufacturers?

porsche designed the suspension & steering/handling for a FACT.
i would be sure they also helped with the body without anybody's knowlege. there's just too many similarities with the tiburon and the boxster. the lights, the curves... the tib was originally designed in california by students who were probably inspired by porsche.
the koreans took the RD and gave it a lift themselves.
be aware that a sector of hyundai is a part of italdesign too. i wouldn't doubt the GK had some italian stallion in it.

I would say there is more italian in the tib than german as far as the styling goes. I wish I had a pic of both cars together, but there are quite a few similar lines shared between my fiat spider and the tib... especially in a side profile shot.
The interior looks very similar to the Audi (forgot the exact name of the sports car...think it's TT). I do remember reading somewhere that Lotus assisted with the Tib (RD2?) desighn.
