anyway...purpletib, if you see this, what "sneaky method" were you talking about? I do graphic design on the side, and I've never heard of this.

In photoshop CS2, go to image size: under resample image select Bicubic Sharper. Set the resolution to 360. Select the size that you want. But the standard internet rating of 72dpi just doesn't seem to work. It really neets to be at least 96dpi, or better yet at least 150. Obviously, this method works best with images that are already 300 dpi that you want to be blown up to poster size.

There's nothing sneaky about that, I use it all the time and I don't really know how to use Photoshop in general. That is just selection for the filter that is used to compute the new pixels. But whatever you do, you are adding new pixels but you only have so much information to begin with..

Actually, the method that was previously used was Bicubic Smoother. It has been proven that Bicubic Sharper works much better. I never really claimed it was sneaky, just said I knew a method to blow images up with pretty impressive detail.
