Ok, I'm just posting because I too formed a view based on all the news stories. What a crock!!!!!! No wonder why this nation is getting f-ed up. People, I admit I made a mistake believing the news due to laziness, but EVERYONE needs to start doing their own research before bashing others.
1. It's not a Mosque (temple), it's a community center with a pool, gym, classrooms, etc.
2. NY is full of Muslims, and has been for decades. It's only natural that there are several places for them to worship built around that city.
3. 45 Park Pl. is 3 blocks away from ground zero!!! There are two Universities and St. Peters Church between the 2 sites.
Yes, I think it may need have a close eye on it over the next few years. But, I fully believe in our freedoms, especially religion, which is one of the two big reasons this country formed. Taxes and religion!
