to put it simply.. cars are a hobby. I enjoy working on them. I enjoy driving them, and I certainly enjoy sharing that last experience with my girlfriend.

Holy....wow...you can't get a house here for under $200,000. And that's a s h i t y rundown house in the middle of the ghetto. My mom paid around $120,000 for my house back in 98 and now it will sell for no less than $450,000. But I guess you get what you pay for, I live in a rich town with one of the best school districts on Long Island. Its a nice place but I could never ever afford to raise a family here, or hell even live on my own.

Yeah, that's the thing. I run an ISP in Chicago and I work for a car dealership. I can do everything with the ISP here in MN, so a small town for me means more money. If I were to move to Chicago, it'd eat profits. So, I can work at a GM dealer here, keep up with my business while at work, and keep expenses low by living somewhere like Minnesota that isn't huge like where you are smile.gif I'm sure yours is nice, but that doesn't mean things aren't great here too. It's just different places.

Medium-small towns like where I live own. Bunch of hangout spots, cheap housing, quiet, and right outside of town, miles of straight road where I can speed to my heart's content. laugh.gif And there are big cities within two hours of me like Raleigh, Richmond, Durham, Danville, etc. where there are tons of car shows and hot women. tongue.gif

You have no clue girl. The average house here, for a 3 Bedroom 2.5 bath, 2 or 3 car garage, in a GOOD part of town, goes for about 175,000.

Land is cheap here, taxes aren't bad, and the weather is nice year round. There are plenty of mulitmillion dollar homes here too though. Expensive stuff. The home I really really want is 280K.

You can get good prices depenign on where you live..like I said, where I live homes are cheap..good homes are a little more but not much. You can rent a nice apartment here for around $400 a month..if you drive 30miles to Corpus..you can't find any nice apartment for under $600 a month. Here you can buy a nice middle class home for 40K, in Corpus (which is a bigger city 10x's as larger as where I'm at) you can't even buy a crappy home for 40k/

My dad bought his house in 1989 after Hurricane Hugo for $75,000 it is now worth over $150,000 needing a roof.
You can score a house for under $100K, but it's not common. I've seen houses here run to about $4M. The most common price for a house here is about $225K.
