mommy's van on the 1/4 mile
While a road course is a lot more difficult, there is more to a quarter mile than "stomping on the gas and making it go in a straight line." Why do you think stock for stock some Tibbies in the same area go up to a second difference in the quarter? Some people drive better than others. When you get down in the 13s and 14s, its hard as hell to keep the car getting traction, shifting when you need to do, and not having torque steer slam you into a wall. Clearly you never drove anything that could get to 100+ miles an hour in 1320 feet.
