The Geo Metro Project

The Geo Metro Project
Okay, so yeah. I've always thought Geo Metros were the funniest things around. Grose looking cars and way too small. Until today. So I'm trying to come up with a second car to get just to mess with. Just something to try stupid ideas on and something that's extremely cheap. I cross out a number of cars on my list and I'm surfing around for body kits for various cars when I come across a Geo Metro body kit. In the picture they show the Convertible version. WTF -- I didn't even know they made a convertible Metro. SOoooo, for $995 (probably less because I'll get a dealer discount), I can get a Geo Metro Convertible with 75k miles on it. I'm going to get this body kit:
This will solve a number of things.
1) I'll stop getting crap at work for driving a Non-GM product.
2) I'll get a secondary car to drive
3) Something to work on that doesn't matter if I mess it up
4) I find it wayyyyyyyyy too funny (don't ask me what this solves)
I'm going to get some nice wheels and that body kit and put on there. See if I can't get the car fully tricked out from head to toe. Then have some real fun come summer time.

Don't hate on the Metros. I've seen them run 12s and 13s in the quarter, faster than any Tib here. smile.gif Theres actually a 9 second one somewhere in the U.S.
The Metro isn't a bad idea. It'll give you something to work on that isn't too expensive. Their engine bay is pretty easy to work in as well, from the ones I've seen. Should be a kewl project.

lol why not get a Ford Festiva while ur at it, jeez, lol, but i mean as long as you take off the Tags of the car maybe they will think its some exotic baby ferrari (with a growth disorder) from 1960's or something lol, not a bad idea, i mean, parts for that are gonna be cheap, hell you could buy another metro just for parts with those prices, when Chevy bought the Geo's the only smart thing they did was they didnt make a Chevy Metro like they made the Chevy Tracker, sigh. great beater car also, keep us updated on your project with the MEtro
