They have the saying that goes..what does a 400RWHP, 600RWHP and an 800RWHP Supra have in common? 12 sec. timeslips.
I have a DSM and I will talk in relation to that. Manuals are faster, period. Get the "same" setup on an A/T and a M/T and the M/T will be faster.
I think it's safer saying that autos will make consistent R/Ts' other than faster RT's. My M/T Elantra launches better than my much faster Talon...
I wonder why fast sports cars come with manuals only? Hmmmmmm

The fastest drag cars are sort of automatic and sort of manual.
What I was saying that real sports cars don't drag race because they are not made for drag racing.
Drag racing is ONLY an acceleration test over an arbitrary distance. It does nothing to test the car's actual performace nor the driver's true abilities.

True, but drag racing is an acceleration test if you look at it from another angle. Whoever finishes the 1320 first, right? The fastest drag cars are sort of automatic and sort of manual.

I went from a I4 tib to a V6 tib and you know what? It hell of a lot faster!

On the most part manuals are lighter compared to thier 'auto-tragic' counterparts. Which is another factor that has to be taken into consideration when at the strip... But, if Hyundai, or any car manufacturer was to put a 5 speed or even 6 speed 'auto-tragic' into any of their vehicles... Lets just say they'd be a lot more impressive. Even with some extensive power enhancing mods, any auto car will be severly out-accelerated my manuals, as long as the driver is using his control to the optimum degree. That is why I want to convert my car to a manual. I also want the Beta engine transplant. I want to remove all the seat except the driver's... And I want the interior fiberglassed, and painted blue and silver to show off my wicked sound system. And I want a wicked sound system...
