I DITCHED HYUNDAI!!for honda....
VTEC Coolest thing eveer? Sure... If you're into economy. VTEC changes valve timing to improve economy. Period. It is only "performance" when compared to the same engine geared for the same or better fuel economy.

acura is hondas american name. it sounds wierd but theres no such thing as a acurs in japan, its a honda integra. its like our lexus is300. its a toyota there. its just a american name or sumthing. i hope i got that right.
Yes. The thing is, in the 60s-70s-80s, Japanese cars were seen as small POS compact cars. They were NEVER viewed as luxury cars or sports cars. To combat this image, import companies "created" luxury divisions to market cars in the USA. These divisions don't exist outside North America. This was to convince Americans that even those these were imports, they were different and special. rolleyes.gif acura is hondas american name. it sounds wierd but theres no such thing as a acurs in japan, its a honda integra. its like our lexus is300. its a toyota there. its just a american name or sumthing. i hope i got that right.
Americans bought into lock-stock-and-barrel....especially Lexus people. rolleyes.gif Acura-Lexus-Infiniti are nothing more than an illusion....phantom companies/divisions.
Acura NSX/Honda NSX
Acura RSX/Honda Integra
Lexus SC300-SC400-SC430/Toyota Soarer
Lexus LS400/Totota Celsior - Toyota Crown is a better car IMO
Lexus GS300-GS400/Toyota Aristo
Lexus IS300/ Toyota Altezza
Infiniti G35/Nissan Skyline
Infiniti M45/Nissan Gloria - Early 90s models kick ass and look like Bentleys
Infiniti M30/ Nissan Leopard
Thats just a short list. Oh, and all those high priced luxury models can be found on hte cheap over here. In fact, the 400hp Nissan Skyline R32 GTS-t I'm considering in under $3000USD. A nice Supra TT can be had for under $15,000USD. Altezza for under $15,000USD. TT Soarers for under $6000USD.
The list goes on and this is why I laugh at snobby people in the USA who think they have somehting special.
Hey, its still just a Honda, Nissan, or Toyota!
Speaking of Skyline... A guy in Alberta is selling a Skyline GTS-X R31 1986 on ebay.
Very friendly guy.
Might consider buying a 1986 Skyline next summer... Since thoses are legal to drive in Canada... My girlfriend think it's fugly, but it's a Skyline for god sake !
Nissan Skyline GTS-X

IQ,
Whats up? What year TA does your friend have, and what mods? If he has a torque converter thats why. Although, believe it or not I smoked a pretty modded SS with a tq converter, also from a roll (similar modded auto LS1's) dont stand a chance.
If you notice in my times, I am spinning like a b^tch! That was the 2nd time ever taking it to the track and it was completely stock.
When I had my 2000 tib, while I was spraying (I was spinning like a b^tch as well, and got a 2.39 60'. Thats only a hundreths of a second difference then my LS1...So for 60' the tib and the WS6 were pretty even (both spinning like mad).
BTW, that run ended up being my best run ever with the Tib at the track: 14.8@95.19mph. So on the street I would assume low 14's cause traction wasnt an issue.
