Don't pay attention to anything Kit-Fox says, listening to his advice could get you seriously injured. LOL.

uhmm i drive the sane way(for a manual), right on stick and left on wheel. never tried it the other way lol. as far as emulating rally drivers by driving with both hands? u dont really need it when your going 25 lol. when im going VERY fast? both hands automatically go up for more control...

i just noticed today that when i have someone in the passenger seat, i drive w/ my right hand and my left elbow on the door handle thing (keep in mind... different car here).

cuz my right elbow is generally on the center console while i'm doin a slight lean... but with someone (other than a female wink1.gif) in the car, i don't like being that close.

I would like to add.. because of my rally background, I never actually "grip" the wheel with the thumb wrapped around the rim. My old excel had an cheap aftermarket steering wheel with aluminum spokes. You only need your thumb ripped open once by spinning spokes when a hole grabs the wheel out of your hand to learn that lesson.

QUOTE (RedShark @ Apr 27 2005, 06:08 PM)
and when a cop is behind me for some reason i am at 3 and 9 on the wheel. lol. i always get panicky, not that steering with 2 hands would help. tongue.gif

Hehehe, yup, nothing improves your driving more than a cop following you.

As for me I'm partial to left hand. The right is only used in moderation.

I find it extremely difficult to drive when the cover is up on the console, or anything overly large is in the coin holders.

num nuts, i criss cross my hands i mean, my left hand is at like 3 and my right hand is at 8ish if im gonna make a hard right turn fast like over 50mph. Lefts at 4 and rights at 9ish when i make a hard left turn. Faster response and better overstear that way. Im gonna make a video in a few weeks ill show it on the movie.

^^^That may be difficult to hold a video camera AND have your right hand at 9 and left at 4...
