90% of the time I drive left hand on steering wheel, right on the shifter. My left elbow usualy is on the driver's door handle.
10% - drive with both hands.

i find it nearly impossible to drive w/ the right hand. its just weird.
the only time i'd drive w/ my right hand is if my left hand is out the window flipping someone off. (although, with the sunroof you can still drive w/ the left hand wink1.gif )

i use my left hand most of the time, but i do drive with my right hand sometimes. like i'll put right arm up on the door (you know what i mean) and my right hand on the wheel at the top. and when a cop is behind me for some reason i am at 3 and 9 on the wheel. lol. i always get panicky, not that steering with 2 hands would help. tongue.gif

anyway, i mostly use my left..although it doesn't really matter.
when i read the title for this topic i thought you were going somewhere else with it .. LOL

actually, because of airbags, a lot of "experts" say that having your hands at 9 and 3 is safer

That they do.. something about having your arms too far up on the wheel when the bag goes off, you can punch yourself or something like that, from the explosion.
Personally, I drive with both hands on the wheel unless shifting or doing something else. I just find it natural to have both there.
BTW.. the Lot of you have dirty minds.

Awww man, this reminds me of my old seat thread, remember when i asked what do you do with the passenger seat? lol, it came out pretty intresting actualy, we all have our weird fetishs. I do alotta wierd things with my hands when i drive (not like that pervs) Generaly i keep my right hand like the first four fingers between the inside of the steering wheel and my pinkie on the outside. if im doing some serius driving i criss cross my arms and drive cross-armed for better response and control. When im just cruisin in put my left elbow on the door sill, and my left hand on the steering wheel like also with my pinkie on the outside of the rim, my righ thand is generaly on the shifter then. When i back up i use my left hand to stear. and my right i generaly put behind the passenger seat.
