Here soon i'm gonna be on a beer diet.

That's my diet!

I'm on a quest to find the best beer ever. I've tried to go off this diet, but it comes back around sooner or later. smile.gif

Easy way to boost your metabolism without doing any work is to eat 5-6 meals a day. Never skip meals. Eat small ~300-400 cal meals every 2-3 hours. Basically just split your current meals in half. That made a huge difference back when I was trying to lose some extra weight. You'll never be hungry either, as you feel much fuller eating the same amount of food but splitting the servings in half. I used to eat 1-2 big meals a day, just having coffee for breakfast. Not a good thing.

I'm also a big fan of the 40/30/30 split. With every meal I get protein, carbs and good fat. Fat is very important, especially when dieting. Eating healthy fat does not means it becomes fat. People concerned with that should think more about not eating carbs late in the day, because unburnt carbs will be quickly converted into fat, unlike dietary fat.

A good resource for all things health-related is http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/index.html There's a huge amount of articles there, and forums with advice and recipes.

I would maybe try to go to the gym twice or thrice a week and work the legs and abdomen. Just do light weight (20 pounds or so for you I would think...) and focus on the technique of the exercise. That will tone you a lot, and eat lots of protein and potassium and avoid all them trans fatty acids. Worked wonders for my old G/F back in the day, I helped her get toned downa hair for her benefit, and maybe a little bit for mine. smile.gif

Liz, looking at your pics, I say you don't really need to diet. Exercise is always a good thing to do and the crunches & bike riding will help to tone your problem areas, as will the walking/running.
Something that I'm amazed that no one has said yet is that you must drink lots of water (at least 2L / day). This will help you lose wait and if you're drinking the water it will help to curb your appetite also.

That's absolutely correct, you need to drink plenty of water..something like 10full glasses of water a day on average..another thing is to stay away from sodas..a 40oz coke has more calories then a burger!!!

A balanced diet is a cookie in each hand.

mmm cookies, i wish i could eat some of that yummy stuff, im soo ticked, i by chance signed myself up for a diet and i can eat barely anything.

Heres the schedual:

day 1
Breakfast: 3 eggs + coffe or tea (no suger)
lunch: 3 eggs + grapefruit + coffe or tea (no suger)
dinner salad with certain vegtables, coffe or tea (no suger), 1 piece of bread
the rest of the week is the same for everything except 2 eggs for breakfast and lunch, instead of grapefruit every other day i have to eat spinich, and for dinner every day its something else, but always crappy.

i gotta put up with this for 12 more days. kill me

Im really craving some KFC right now....

anyone got some tips? Im really going at it blindly, just eating things that are fat free and such.

Just go get a single breast and a biscuit at KFC and limit your self to that like once a month. Don't listen to me I'm a chubby barstard anyways, I eat any and everything. LOL. sorry I'm no help.

Keep with it though if thats what you wanna do, I applaude for having that kind of self control. I sure as hell don't.

If you're gonna eat fried chicken, the best thing is to peel the skin off before you eat it...the grease that is used to cook food at fast food resturants is more unhealthy for you then the actual food they cook.
