2000 vs 2004

It depends what you want to do with it.
I prefer the styling of a RD over a RD2. I find the RD2 to be a little "cartoony" and I think the RD looks a little classier.
However, if I was going to turbo the car, I would definitely go with a RD2, given the engine is MAP based and much easier to tune for big power.
Power and handling shouldn't be much different between a RD or RD2, as other than the MAP thing and styling, they are virtually the same car.
How similar are they? A dealer bought a air conditioner to put into a 2001. The buyer decided they didn't want it, so the dealer called me, knowing I wanted air conditioning and didn't have it. The unit fit my 1997 perfectly, with the only modification being a different button on the dash...

So, with my above statement, I will not vote in your poll, as it doesn't fit the question.

pfff v6 delta = poor ass engine
i was lookin at a 2004 tiburon tuscani(canada remember?...(has v6, 6 speed, leather, seats, traction control, abs, sunroof, tuscani badging, chrome accents thru interior) anyway with all the chrome accents the interior i gotta say looks better then 2nd gen, but as far as performance goes, the 2nd gen was way out in front, they handle everything so much better, and why pay $15,000 more (CDN) for 2 extra cylinders that really dont do what they are supposed to?...mind you paying 15 k for some cheap chrome accent in the interior....pff.... 2nd gen ALL THE WAY!

my views...i think the gk is a pretty cool car..but still like my gen1 the best...i think it looks ALOT better than rd2's because rd2's i just think of integras(yes i still think they look like integra headlights, and since the intregra was here first you really can't argue)..and the back end looks like garbage...rd2's are a bit much all together looks wise.
people think hyundai's were shitty back in 97...well their wrong. my car rocks my socks off.

I don't know why you think of Integra's, I think of Celica's. That was the main reason they changed the design between the RD1 and 2 was because their direct competition was the Celica.
You know what's funny though? The Celica is gone after this year. Guess who won that battle?
LOL
The Second Gen interior is the best looking, makes you feel like you are in a cockpit. The hood is almost too much, but I still love it. It's like having a GF with 4 tits.
LOL
While I don't like the stock tails on the RD2, the rear on that sucker is MUCH better than the RD1. I was sitting next to a RD1 at my wife's work the other day and some guy came up asking me all about my car. I pointed out the RD1 and he laughed, talking about how shitty it looked and how the RD2 looks like it's got a bodykit on it to begin with. Hell, even check out Korea, they do most of their modding on the RD2's because the RD1's suxorz my ass.

I have an RD2, I like the RD2. GK's, well, if I wanted one, I would have driven my bike for another year and gotten one. They do look nice on the outside, but, they look like a bunch of different cars, all mixed into one. And, the interior does suck. The RD2 headlights ARE more reminiscent of a celica than a teg, that is a no brainer. I love my interior, so does everyone who sits in my car. The RD1 is tame, the RD2 is a little wilder. I live in a college town and I still get people asking what kind of car I have, many think it is some kind of exotic.
Oh, and, I don't think that RD2 is the best because I have one, I had the choice between a 99 with 25000 miles for $8000 and my 01, new, with 17 miles (10 of those put on during my test drive). I drove both, looked at both side by side, chose mine.
