Ehhh, can't really go with the way you have it mang.
The 03-04 is almost identical, same with the 00-01, and the 97-99
If you mean are the gens getting better or worse? I'd say that they got better thru the 2nd gen, then alot worse.
LOL
You talking about quality or what?

i think the RD1 is cool because it looks older, but keeps it's shape nicely. looks more like a shark than the RD2
RD2 = best style all around (but pretty much an exact replica of the RD1 with minor cosmetic changes)... but was upgraded quite a bit as far as handling/suspension, and speed goes
the GK rocks because it's got great style, and a fantastic engine (obviously.... those GT V6s are fockin' slick).... but i think they lost the older feel of the tiburon as far as looks goes. i really like the GK's body and the fins kick ass, but it's so much more modern - the RD's have the true 'tiburon' kinda' look
this is all my mothaf***in' humble opinion. i'm sure others disagree, but they all kick ass in my mind. laugh.gif

Yeah Alpha, don't know what V6 Tib you've been in, that engine sucks my asshole.
Really.
As far as what you asked in this thread mang, I'd have to say the RD2. The RD1 is just too calm looking unless you do some major bodykit work. The RD2 turns heads stock. I love the looks I get on a daily basis in mine.
As for quality, the 2001 is the best. Plain and simple. The 3rd Gen still has serious clutch issues and had that sunroof issue, the 2001 had nothing, only about half of them had the seatbelt recall, but that wasn't even that serious.
The GK's interior bores the hell out of me. The exterior is decent though, even MILDLY hooked up, they are very impressive.

I like all 3 models, RD has unique style and that's why I got into tiburons. GK does look good and easily a killer with a bodykit but it's more generalzed. performance wise, the i4 is great for its price. If u go V6 price, you have a lot of other choices. Interior of the RD is superior to GK, that's my only dissapointment. 2001 Tib from canada comes with the blue removable Clarion CD player. It looks much more hip then those new black TIBURON CD Player(which I know is the same as clarion but it just doesn't sound as cool)
as the years go along, I hope hyundai can make their cars less noisy, sounds like cheap construction. put some more elbow greese into those assembly robots. Why can everyone else do it but them?
