i was pointing out the strut bar numb nuts.. the strut bar in the picture is a generic picture... the strut bar on the car is the FACTORY TUNED bar. which will work perfectly fine with the redline hood struts.

before you post, try actually looking at the picture and read the post.

and then look at the pictures of how the redline brackets mount compared to the strut bar mounts..

then add 2+2 and hopefully you will be able to come up with 4.

Your's will look like the one in my pic. It is the factory tuned bar that we all have and that's the bracket that comes with it.

Think about it, the bracket in your pic would not work for us, look at the holes.

^^ Yeah, I know, I'd have to mount the strut to the bracket instead of to the frame. Hopefully it does look like yours. What brand strut bars go all the way around?

Guys, girls, how bout we just stop arguing? Look at the photos to determine if it will work for your strut bar setup. Most will, some won't, mostly just those that go ALL the way around the strut will have issues.

Looking at the video, would there be too much resistance on a CF or FG hood to easily push it back down without bowing your hood everytime. I mean if it can put up a stock hood, heavy as sh*t I don't want to have to press down on my hood. What about if your using hood pics as well? Anyone using these with a lighter hood and hood pins?

Looks really nice though.

Please READ this and the other threads linked in here, all of your questions are fully answered.

Except for the hood pins. But hood pins won't change the way anything works here.

Well. . . .I read the thread(S) again REDZ. . . I see yes they "work" the same on aftermarket hoods REDZ. . . that doesn't answer my questions. I've been o the site as well. . . again. Surely I may be missing something in my multiple thread linking adventures, but my point is though it works and I don't see why you would have to ask that so that is not my question. My question is. . "How much resistance are the struts when trying to compress it back down? The strut is at the rear part of the engine bay and I'm standing in front of it and trying to push down on my hood that will give and bend against the force of the struts. I do not want to spider and stress crack my expensive paint pushing my hood down to pin it over time. If this would be an issue over time for someone anal retentive then say so, or if it's a yes but most people will not notice or care then chime in on that. But it either does or doesn't happen so yes or no will be a shorter answer than what you typed out IF you knew the answer.

Someone with experience in actually doing this feel free to answer, which I am just taking a shot in the dark as not manypeople have them yet. If no one answers then I get the point. The video doesn't show them closing the hood and again it's stock.

I hope my rebuttle is just as nice and civilized. And smiley's make things seem peaceful and less hostile so . . . cool.gif cool.gif
