um...

Can you do me a favor? Can you remove your engine balance and tell me if you notice a difference? I am wondering if there is any difference because I lost mine when I was doing some initial R&D on engine dampers about a year ago. Initially, these were designed to take the place of the engine balance. On top of that, the weight is nearly the same and the damper defeats the purpose of having a balanced engine.

ok i will sometime this weekend or week

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (RED ZMAN @ Sep 19 2008, 11:34 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>No, it wouldn't. You'll also notice he's selling the exact same thing for almost 3 times as much.

The bad things about his?

1. Price. ALL of these are built the same, it'sw not worth the price.
2. Location. Uhm, does that look just a BIT exposed to anyone else?
3. Location of mounts. Let's see, if you get the NRG/KFX one and something goes wrong, you might, at worst, have to replace the motor mount it attaches to. With his, you will, at best, break of a section of your tranny/engine that it mounts to. I'd rather replace a mount housing then a tranny or engine.
4. LOCATION! Who in the hell will ever SEE it down there?</div>

I know he was selling it for more then we are getting it, i usually go on there website and look to see if anything new is out...so that is why i posted it

Also what is the purpose of seeing it, just curious, cause isnt its purpose to get rid of torqe steer, wheel hop, and engine movement...dont get me wrong I love this one and the location of it, i was just curious if anyone use has seen it, thats all...not trying to start an arguement fing02.gif

very clean looking engine bay but damnit, that is exactly what mine was going to look like!. time to change, lmao.

you need to add some chrome or red obx pulleys, that would top it off to a T.

REDZ is correct on the bottom dampener idea. it's not too smart to bolt a stiffening item on a area that is a cast piece, didint think about that.

DTN, you talking about the round weight thing? I got rid of mine a long time ago. Havent had any issues.

Got my damper though. Looks great but wont get installed until the new motor probably.
