Engineers from Toyota Motor Corp. visited Germany's famed Nurburgring racetrack last month to test a prototype sports car shrouded in mystery.
Spy shots of the session have provoked widespread speculation on the identity of the vehicle and Toyota's production plans.
Among the outrageous guesses are that the prototype is a mule hiding either a 500-horsepower V-10 engine or a high-performance hybrid powertrain.
Sources in Japan say it's likely an early test bed for the next Supra, pulled from the U.S. market several years ago because of poor sales.
Toyota insiders say the reincarnated Supra should reach the market in 2006 as a 2007 model. The rear-wheel drive coupe, being targeted at the Nissan 350Z, will be powered by a twin-cam 3.5-liter V-6 and priced from well under $30,000</div>

hahah no kidding. ah well. we will just have to wait until they become used and buy them for cheap and then use the money we didn't spend to hook the ballz outta it! lol.gif
man... that sucks about the celica. how are they just going to take away their no. 1 sales? i know the supra is coming back, but it's probably going to look JUST like the rest of those bland pointless linnear designs with no meaning...
by the way. that's an awsome celica. gt-4? that was my favorite year. i have a VERY neat 30MB rally video documentary about the history of celica rallying from 1980's - 1996 in Safari Rallye Kenya. It's got really neat mud footage. If anybody wants it, leave your e-mail and i will send it over. you too 00shark.
i sure hope the tiburon lives a long life! well, i hope this gave you some insightb 00shark. you see, we're not just some old fashioned ricers sticking some aluminum cans on the back of our cars and calling it a night. we're really trying to bring these cars to the level of their real potential and really make these babies sparkle. you can call it a topping to the dessert 8)

Okay everybody, I think we've hijacked this thread enough now. 00skark, what are you looking to do first, performance or looks? Since it's your sisters car I'm guessing looks. You can start by checking out tiburon profiles at www.cardomain.com That's how I got a lot of ideas for my car. Also check out www.importshark.com
