CAI = No Sound
just install it and DRIVE it, the noise is more noticable under load with intake noise. Itll change it, just put it in properly and drive that biznatch

okay, removed the Sensor! the 3" is too much of a tight fit. it's stuck right now about half way down :x the transmission is blocking it from going further down. the filter definitely won't fit down there without having to trim the splash guard.
i think i'm going to have to put all the pieces back together for the night... one more try though. maybe i'm doing it wrong.

the first time fishing it done in there might be a bit odd... but it will fit. as far as that temp sensor just pull and wiggle it. I sprayed a bit of pb blaster on it, then once I removed the rubber fitting I put more on the fitting itself. made the reassembly much easier.

thanks supercow. now, the problem is unscrewing the friggin resonator. man, that thing is a pile of junk. i lost my screw which fell in the murky depths of my car somewhere. i wouldn't have been able to do that anyways without having to remove my battery and platform first. now, i cannot remove my battery and platform because there's always something in the way. i canot twist the wrench because there's always something in the way.
this sucks. it's totally retarded how everything is in the way. i have to get this done before i go to bed!

I didnt have to remove my battery when I removed my resonator. All you need is a good wratchet with extensions or a wrench. It is kind of tricky, but its only 2 bolts... just spend a lil time. I took the front one out first (because I could see it) and then just felt around with my hand to find the second. It feels like the bolt is spinnin forever because you can only get like 1/8th of a turn at a time. It was like a 15 min job.

you got a 97.. a REV A tib... that box is NOT going to let you install that intake. That is part of the emissions for our cars. Later tibs have that in the rear. I think it is part of the vapor recovery system.
*edit*
If you think installing that CAI is a pain because the batter is in the way.. you should try mine.
This is how it USED to look when I had red in the engine compatment:

As you can see, I had to move the battery compleatly to fit the tube down into the fender well.. actually had to cut a hole where the battery normally sits.
After the new battery and getting rid of the red:
