well i started my enclosure a couple days ago. i used the bondo brand fiberglasss kit (from canadian tire or home depot, etc) to make the mold. but then i went to a install shop and asked them what they used, their advice was this--> "DONT USE THE BONDO FIBERGLASS, ITS USUALLY OLD BY THE TIME IT GETS TO THE STORE YOU BUY IT FROM, ITS POOR QUALITY, AND ITS NOT AS STRONG"... so i went to this plastics store and they sold me 5 gallons of the resin w/ hardener and matting, for $100. which you might say is a little steep, but when i went to go use this stuff it was like i was in heaven. its lays down ALOT more evenly which equals LESS SANDING! and its stonger and easier to work with. SO REMEMBER DONT BUY THAT ROOKIE SH!T, if you wanna do it right spend the money and some high grade fiberglass, trust me for those who have worked with it before you know what im talking about. it just makes it so much easier.
*just thought id warn you guys b4 you spend 50 bucks on crap and wonder why it sux so much*
*like i did*

I'm in the middle of a fiber glass sub enclosure and haven't really ran into many problems with the Canadian Tire brand, but it's not the bondo brand ( can't quite remember what it was ). But it would be nice if the more expensive stuff cut down on the amount of sanding required afterwards. That's going to be a PITA.
Post some pics after your done, or better while your in the middle of building it. laugh.gif
