^^^

You're right, that's why strut bars never have bends in them. Wait...

i wouldnt be opposed to it if you could do it in a "Z" pattern so you could have upper and lower b pillar bars in one set up. now that would be great for harness

thats what I was thinkin socks, took me until my second sentence up there to realize that. The problem is cutting the plastic would look crappy but it could be done and wouldn't be hard to do at all

the thing with a 'Z' bar would be over the top and there wouldn't be many people on here that would want something to cut off complete access to the back seat/area.

an upper bar would be plenty for a harness and stability.

capn, depending on the bracket design, you could make the cuts look decent.

honestly-... how well would these work?

i'd only assume that the track (that the seat belt hanger is on) is most likely not part of the actual unibody, but a part that is bolted to the unibody. i just think it's not a very rigid point to bolt into-...

i have a floor stabilizer and when i installed it i didn't really notice a difference-... unless my strut bars are that good (front-ebay, rear-custom fing02.gif )???

don't get me wrong-... go ahead experiment try it out! i hope it works!

just a theory of mine!

i would defiantly not use the seat belt(bolt on adjustable part). thats about the worst mounting point to consider. id say in my own opinion it would do nothing to prevent chassis flex(due to the adjustable slider flexing instead of being stable). heres a pic of seat belt components for reference on what I'm talking about, its the inside the belt that will flex.

tib 500 - those were the wrong seatbelts you sent me by the way but it was my fault cuase I circled them. I'm noticing a lot of things dif about my tib from many rd1's and rd2's tho

01steve - Were not talking about attaching at the height adjustable bolt. Socks is saying you could bolt it to the top bolt that holds the adjuster plate onto the unibody. Heres a pic from hmaservices.com

interested too, if it won't block the rear seats too much.

Besides, I think that it is better to make a bar for the rear, between the rear seat belt points, right above the rear seats.
It will give us strengh to the rear, that is weak and flexy from us having a hatch.

I like the idea... and if you know someone cheaper than the guy i know for powder coating thats cool but i can get an entire atv frame powder coated for 50$ :-p i could probably get the bars done for less... i would honestly just recomend a brushed steel look... just for cost im almost positive that the bars wouldnt rust out inside the car...

I was always silently wishing someone would make one of these for our car. I saw it at SEMA a few years ago. I believe it was even the same car as the ebay link(Integra).
